Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Magnetic Resonance Imaging Specialist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images and performing procedures according to established standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate MRI equipment to take diagnostic images of specific body areas as ordered by radiologists.
  • Produce diagnostic images for interpretation by radiologists, ensuring accuracy and quality review.
  • Prepare and position patients properly, providing clear instructions and ensuring patient safety.
  • Assist in the care and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and supplies, reporting any issues to supervisors in a timely manner.
  • Instruct and supervise radiography students in clinical practicum, working together to perform exams and evaluate images.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have a Technical Diploma from an AMA-approved school of Radiology or Imaging Services. Additionally, you should hold a New York State Radiologic Technologist License or Temp Permit and Advanced Certification in MRI from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 180 days of hire. Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills are essential, along with basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in Radiology Program or related health field is preferred, as well as 1-2 years of experience as an MRI technologist or training.
