Central Utility Plant Operations Specialist

JLL is seeking a highly skilled Central Utility Plant Operator to join our team in New London, CT. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our central utility plant, providing critical support to our facilities and occupants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and oversee plant operations, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Assist with startup, shutdown, and operations of facility equipment, including boilers, chillers, and pumps.
- Identify and resolve problems that arise, ensuring minimal disruption to plant operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Monitor and control the operation of the CUP using both BMS and manual controls, responding to system malfunctions and abnormal conditions as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to hot or cold complaints from building occupants in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with supervision to ensure effective communication and coordination of plant operations.
Requirements:
- Experience working with CMMS work order management systems, such as Corrigo or Maximo.
- Ability to work independently and autonomously, with minimal direction when required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly and professionally communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Minimum Connecticut State Operators license or equivalent education to qualify for Connecticut licensing exam in the following disciplines within 1 month of employment (OE2, S1-S3, D1-D3, B1-B3).
- Ability to pass both a Federal and State Criminal Background Check as required by law in order to obtain unescorted visitor access to work location.
- Must be capable of working all shifts to support plant personnel and maintain 365/24/7 coverage delivery of Utility Plant Operations as needed.
