Job Summary

The ASG Presales Solutions Engineer - Infrastructure will work as a customer-facing data center infrastructure specialist. This role involves helping uncover and develop opportunities when meeting with customers and account planning with sales teams. The position is a remote one that may require reporting to the Austin, TX office as needed for business purposes, as determined by SHI management.

Responsibilities

This role includes, but is not limited to:
  1. Leading both independent and collaborative discussions with clients regarding data enablement requirements.
  2. Acquiring and developing advanced technical and programmatic skill sets.
  3. Understanding OEM and industry landscape relative to solutions and market trends.
  4. Supporting the development of go-to-market strategies across all solutions.
  5. Educating and developing sales teams on data enablement solution selling and key technologies.
  6. Developing and maintaining internal intellectual property, including white papers, subject matter guides, assessment processes, and measurement documents, and project briefs.
  7. Performing assessment and/or solution deployment activities, including requirement definition, feasibility, and delivery.
  8. Understanding and supporting SHI data enablement services offerings and portfolio.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:
  1. A preferred Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience working with design and delivery/implementation of data enablement, integration, and automation.
  3. A minimum of 2 years of experience presenting to customers, internal teams, or local professional groups.
  4. Performance of one or more gap assessments for formalized industry frameworks and compliance requirements, preferred but not required.
  5. Experience with tools like Power Automate, UI Path, Power BI, Tableau, Power Apps, Copilot for Microsoft 365, Copilot Studio, Amazon Q, and Microsoft Fabric.

Required Skills

The candidate must be able to:
  1. Demonstrate technical capabilities of security technology.
  2. Design an appropriate data center/hybrid solution based on requirement documents.
  3. Recommend data enablement solutions based on industry trends and knowledge of client environments.
  4. Be proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  5. Possess knowledge across the full scope of technical data enablement solutions, including automation, low-code/no-code, data solutions, and artificial intelligence.
  6. Conduct self-study and independent work in lab facilities to increase job-related skillset.

Preferred Skills

The ideal candidate will also have:
  1. Technical writing skills.
  2. Presentation skills.
  3. The ability to architect solutions to demonstration product and outcome.
  4. Highly organized with strong oral and written communication, presentation, and consultative experience across a diverse set of data center technology solutions.
  5. Solution scoping skills.
  6. RFP response experience.

Certifications Required

The candidate must have one or more of the following industry certifications:
  1. Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect.
  2. Power Automate RPA Developer Associate.

Unique Requirements

The ideal candidate must be able to:
  1. Pass client-required background checks as needed.
  2. Travel up to 20% to client sites.

Additional Information

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $120,000 - $230,000, which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
