Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job Description:
As a Psychiatric Aide, you will be part of a dynamic treatment team that works together to provide patient-centered care. Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Orienting Patients: Welcoming newly admitted patients and helping them adjust to our hospital setting.
• Providing Personal Care: Assisting with basic needs such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients who require support.
• Observing and Reporting: Monitoring patients' physical and psychological needs, and reporting your findings to the charge nurse.
• Participating in Treatment Planning: Collaborating with the treatment team to develop and implement effective treatment plans for our patients.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
• A High School Diploma or Equivalent: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
• Basic Life Support Certification: You'll need to obtain Basic Life Support certification within one month of hire from the American Heart Association.
• Mental Health Experience: While not essential, previous experience working in mental health settings would be beneficial.
