Job Summary:We are currently seeking a skilled Medical Nurse Professional to join our team in the Corrections Unit. As a Medical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care under the supervision of a Physician or Registered Nurse.
This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities:- Provides nursing care duties in the assessment of the physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients in the Health Care Unit and housing units.
- Takes vital signs, applies and changes dressings, administers medications and injections, and implements medical plans according to physician instructions.
- Documents nursing encounters, patient response, effectiveness, complications, etc., and communicates information to supervisory personnel and physicians.
- Observes, records, and reports symptoms, reactions, and changes in the condition of all patients.
- 1-2 years of recent experience in corrections or a related field.
- BLS certification and an active State nursing license are required.
- Corrections experience preferred.
- Competitive salary: $ 1500 - 2000 per week, depending on location and experience.
