About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Internal Medicine Specialist to join our team at Garnet Health Medical Center. As a key member of our primary care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leadership to our interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide primary and continuing care to patients in our medical center
  • Lead and coordinate care with administrative support staff
  • Participate in an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care

Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree with internal medicine residency (3 years minimum) or ABFM-recognized family medicine residency (3 years minimum)
  • Professional clinical experience in primary care practice in either family medicine or internal medicine
  • NYS Medical License, valid and unrestricted
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice within 5 years of residency completion
  • Current and ongoing BLS certification
  • NY State DEA Certification, valid and unrestricted
  • Current NY State Opioid Prescriber Certificate
  • Current Infectious Certificate

Working Conditions:

Works primarily inside and may occasionally work outdoors. Frequent contact with various Garnet Health staff, sales representatives, employees, and community members. May be exposed to odors, chemical agents, dust, fumes, gases, sharp objects, hazardous or moving equipment, wet slippery floors, and extremes in temperature and humidity.
