Industrial Technology Professor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Industrial Technology Professor to join our team at West Hills Community College District. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching introductory courses in industrial technology, developing curriculum, and assessing student learning outcomes.

This is a part-time adjunct faculty position that offers the opportunity to teach face-to-face, hybrid, or online classes. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to educating a diverse student population and experience with culturally responsive pedagogy.

• Instruct and evaluate students effectively in a variety of teaching environments.
• Implement contemporary teaching methods that enhance student learning and utilize technology to support instructional and non-instructional duties.
• Assess and evaluate class content, materials, and make changes to address gaps and areas of growth based on student needs.
• Champion collaborative practices in instruction that lead to an active student-centered environment and close equity and gender gaps.
• Work with counseling/advising and student services team to support and address student needs.

• Bachelor's degree(s) or higher and two years of professional experience OR any associate's degree and six years of professional experience in a field related to industrial technology.
• Evidence of sensitivity and responsiveness to the diversity within the community college student population.
• A valid driver's license.

• Enrollment into CalSTRS retirement system or Apple retirement system.
• Sick Leave (24 hours of sick leave for the year).

The estimated salary for this position is $68-$75 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a competitive benefits package and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.
