Diabetes Educator Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Diabetes Educator to join our team at Grandview Medical Center. As a Diabetes Educator, you will play a critical role in providing professional nursing consultation and education to patients with diabetes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement current curriculum on health for diabetic patients
- Provide education to patients on necessary lifestyle changes involved in a diabetes diagnosis, including nutrition, medication, physical activity, and glucose testing
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients with diabetes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Foods and Nutrition/Dietetics
- Master's degree preferred
- 1-2 years experience as a health professional staff member of an ADA
- Currently licensed in the State of Alabama and certified as a Diabetes Educator
