Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Day Treatment Support Staff to join our team at St. David's Center in Minneapolis. This role is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and their families.

Job Summary:

The Day Treatment Support Staff will work closely with mental health professionals to implement individualized day treatment plans for children with autism. This role requires a strong ability to communicate effectively, build relationships, and provide emotional support to children and their families.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote skill development and socialization of children in day treatment programs.
  • Assist children in using self-management skills, including communication, self-regulation, and daily living skills.
  • Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, children, and their families.
  • Participate in pre-service training and ongoing professional development.
  • Assist with daily setup and cleanup of materials and activities.
  • Set up materials and toys for individual skill work and groups.
  • Support daily self-help skills, such as toileting, washing hands, and eating.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of child development and childhood disorders.
  • Native Somali, Amharic, or Oromo speaker required.
