Special Education Sign Language Interpreter

ProCare Therapy seeks a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) to provide on-site interpretation services in a Kindergarten classroom. As an SLI with ProCare Therapy, you will play a vital role in facilitating effective communication for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Job SummaryThis is a full-time opportunity for an experienced Sign Language Interpreter to make a significant impact by assisting a young student in understanding and participating in classroom activities. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in American Sign Language (ASL) and English, as well as experience working in educational settings.
Responsibilities- Provide ASL interpretation in a Kindergarten classroom.
- Assist the student in understanding and participating in classroom activities.
- Collaborate with educators to implement and follow the Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics.
- Proficiency: Strong skills in American Sign Language (ASL) and English.
- Experience: Previous experience in educational settings is preferred but not required.
