Job Summary

The University of Miami is seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist Level II to join our team in Miami, Florida. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing complex laboratory tests and procedures to provide accurate and timely results for patient diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify specimen identification and prepare specimens for testing
  • Analyze test results and interpret abnormal or unusual findings
  • Research and prepare patient data and refer results to pathologists for evaluation
  • Calibrate equipment, order supplies, and maintain inventory of relevant materials
  • Recognize test inconsistencies and take corrective action
  • Administer quality-control tests and maintain data recording
  • Assist with orienting and training employees on laboratory techniques and operations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Certification in immunohematology
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
