Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Operations Manager to join our team at Katmai. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day facility operations, ensuring compliance with contract and corporate requirements, and providing exceptional support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a liaison with government and military staff to promote contract operational efficiency
  • Respond to client-identified performance concerns
  • Report operational, administrative, and logistics issues to the Program Manager as necessary
  • Ensure scope of work is performed on time, meets quality standards, and is within contract budget parameters
  • Plan and prioritize corrective actions on discrepancies noted by Client or company QA inspection
  • Survey a minimum of contractual range site per week to ensure corrective and preventative maintenance are addressed accordingly
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
Requirements
  • Minimum of five (5) years management experience in directing operation and maintenance of equipment in a supervisory capacity
  • Demonstrated experience working closely with Senior Military personnel, Government employees, and other Contractors
  • Capable of establishing mission-oriented teams and training device/equipment packages in short notice
  • Confidential data and information management experience required
  • Must possess the skills necessary to be designated as the Site Manager in writing by the Company to the Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO) and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR)
  • Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Office 7 (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) Adobe and other media type software
  • Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures with a particular field
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision, be exceedingly well organized, flexible
  • Proven experience in successfully managing projects and personnel
  • Strong familiarity with government regulations and directives pertaining to confidentiality, document retention, and project site protocols
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated ability to perform diverse duties under operating and deadline constraints
Work Environment

Work is primarily performed in an office setting but may also be performed in a maintenance facility as well as outdoors in military training areas. Work is often performed outdoors, in adverse conditions including inclement weather such as high humidity, heat, cold, high wind, rain, and various local conditions. Our mission is to train US Marines; therefore, we work side by side with them in all climates and conditions. Employee may be exposed to sharp objects and may be exposed to some heat, loud noise, chemicals, lead, and vibration. Katmai strictly adheres to the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHA) regulations. Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory if applicable. Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities, and abilities.

Physical Demands

Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting boxes weighing up to 50 pounds. Frequently uses hands/fingers for handling, to work with such hand tools as wrenches, screwdrivers, wire cutters, pliers, and soldering irons.
