Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology Acute Care

Our nurses are required to complete the UMC Chemo Certificate Course and are encouraged to obtain other national certifications. Responsibilities:

  • Assess, implement, or delegate, plan, and evaluate total nursing care and functions in accordance with established philosophy.
  • Provide and direct patient care for a group of patients.
  • Relate effectively with other shifts/departments for optimal continuity of care.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Valid Texas RN License/Eligible Compact License.
  • Must maintain a current BLS certification from American Heart Association.
  • BSN required or must be obtained within 3 years of hire.
  • UMC Chemo Certificate Course completed within 1 year.
