Madison, Mississippi, United States MRG Exams Full time
Disability Assessment Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner to join our team at MRG Exams, where you will play a crucial role in performing medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.

In this rewarding position, you will review medical records electronically through a web portal and conduct focused, in-person physical exams on each Veteran. Your exam findings will be documented electronically via the web portal, ensuring accurate and efficient communication with the VA.

This is not a decision-making role; the United States Veterans Administration makes all disability determinations. You will solely focus on performing Disability Assessments on Veterans, without any responsibilities related to treatment or medication prescription.

The average caseload for this position is 3-5 Veterans per day, allowing for efficient time management and meeting requirements. To excel in this role, you should be interested in performing Independent Medical Assessments, possess excellent analytical skills to analyze data from medical records and exam findings, and be proficient in computer use.

The ideal candidate will hold a current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license and have strong time management skills to stay on task and meet requirements. We also offer training and continued support to ensure your success in this position.

Benefits include access to health insurance options, a supplied computer, and the satisfaction of serving the Veteran community. Our typical workday consists of working a set schedule during normal business hours, without being on call. All work is performed in a clinical setting.

Key Attributes:
  • Able to perform Independent Medical Assessments
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Proficient in computer use

Requirements:
  • Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license

Salary Information:
We offer an estimated annual salary range of $83,000 - $122,000, commensurate with experience, based on location (Madison, MS).

If you would find it rewarding to serve the Veteran community and prefer working in a clinical setting with a regular schedule, we encourage you to apply.
