Day Services Director

ResCare Community Living is seeking a skilled Day Services Manager to oversee the operation of day services, including personnel, operational budget, compliance with agency policy, state/federal regulations, or standards of service, and quality of program for persons served.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the hiring process of all assigned positions in accordance with Company policy and local, state, and federal employment law.
- Ensure all assigned staff receive training and supervision as needed to meet performance expectations.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all documentation related to staff (new hires, terms, performance reviews, leave requests, corrective actions).
- Participate in investigations and ensure appropriate follow through on recommendations.
- Manage contracts and supervise the work of contract staff.
- Oversee ongoing contracts.
- Supervise and train staff on contract work.
- Maintain good customer relations with current business partners.
- Provide support to persons served.
- Oversee the treatment/support services provided by day services staff.
- Serve as liaison for appropriate Support Coordinators, family, legal guardians.
- Coordinate/resolves conflicts in resources for provision of services.
- Attend support plans or special reviews, as necessary.
- Monitor program documentation for accuracy and timeliness.
- Evaluate and monitor program effectiveness.
- Monitor individual financial records.
- Monitor individual medication administration records.
- Provide budget and financial oversight.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of assigned budgets.
- Remain within budgeted expenses for service areas.
- Review and assign referrals in admission to program.
- Conduct and monitor service integrity and compliance to service site/company policy to maintain licensure, Medicaid, or other funding.
- Monitor staffing schedules, overtime, staff vacancy rates.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Business, Health care Administration, or a Social Science preferred.
- Must have a minimum of five years in the Human Services field with two years of progressively responsible management experience.
- Prior experience providing services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to travel to multiples service sites, staying overnight if necessary.
- Experience in managing systems, processes, and people.
- Working knowledge of Federal, State, Local regulations concerning services to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Demonstrate computer proficiency with working knowledge of Excel, Word.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven supervisory skills.
- Capable of working responsibly with highly confidential information.
- Proven track record to guide teams toward multiple goals within several resource and/or reimbursement models.
- Valid driver's license from state of residence with satisfactory driving record as defined by Company vehicle policy and/or liability insurance carrier.
