Job Overview

This role is responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of apartment homes, buildings, and grounds. The successful candidate will perform a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:

  • Repairing flooring, drywall, and appliances;
  • Troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical, safety, and security systems;
  • Maintaining HVAC systems;
  • Cleaning (sweeping, mopping, garden/yard upkeep);
Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting job duties in accordance with company policy and all safety protocols, supporting the overall objective of meeting client expectations based on the respective operating budget.

  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues;
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure property aesthetics are maintained;
  • Assist with required periodic inspections as outlined in safety and maintenance manuals or specified by the client or lender;
  • Serve as on-call maintenance providing evening, weekends, and holiday emergency services;
  • Perform maintenance inspections and repairs on vacant apartments to ensure proper operating conditions and appearance upon move-in;
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably within residential property management;
  • A high school diploma or equivalency certificate; technical school and/or CAMT certification is preferred;
  • A valid driver's license, good driving record, current motor vehicle insurance meeting state requirements, and an operable vehicle that meets FPI's driving standards and personal vehicle use policy;
  • The ability to wear a respirator and be medically fit for duty, cleared to wear a respirator, and comply with FPI's facial hair policy;
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English;
  • BASIC computer skills (email, internet, etc.).
Estimated Salary Range

$21-$22 per hour
