    • Delegate and assign clinical tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel and provide supervision and guidance.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements, including Medicare Conditions of Participation and state licensure regulations.
    • Monitor and evaluate clinical outcomes and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in patient care quality and satisfaction.
  • Staff Management and Development:
    • Recruit, hire, and onboard qualified clinical staff members, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet patient care needs.
    • Ensure clinical staff complies with accepted professional standards and principles.
    • Provide leadership, supervision, and support to clinical staff, fostering a culture of professional growth, accountability, and teamwork.
    • Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate opportunities for staff development and training.
  • Interdisciplinary Team Coordination:
    • Facilitate communication and collaboration among interdisciplinary team members, including nurses, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers, to ensure coordinated and holistic care for hospice patients.
    • Lead regular team meetings to review patient cases, address care issues, and develop individualized care plans based on patient and family needs.
    • Serve as a resource and mentor to team members, providing guidance and support in addressing complex clinical and psychosocial challenges.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards related to hospice care, including Medicare Conditions of Participation, state licensure regulations, and accreditation bodies such as The Joint Commission or CHAP.
    • Implement quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives to monitor and improve clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and staff efficiency.
    • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain compliance and quality standards.
Qualifications:
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice required.
  • Minimum of two years of recent clinical experience in hospice or palliative care required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master's degree in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of one-year clinical supervision in new start hospice programs preferred.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in end-of-life care principles, pain management, and symptom control.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in strategic planning, clinical budget management, and quality improvement processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards related to hospice care, including Medicare Conditions of Participation.
  • Commitment to the organization's mission and values, with a passion for providing compassionate care to patients and families facing end-of-life issues.
