Catapult is seeking a highly skilled Geomatics Field Technician Specialist to join our team. This exciting role involves assisting Geomatics Field Supervisors with various types of surveys, ensuring accurate measurements and data collection in diverse environments.

Job Overview

As a Geomatics Field Technician Specialist at Catapult, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, including local government initiatives, university collaborations, private/commercial developments, and more.

Position Highlights

This role offers a unique blend of fieldwork and technical expertise. You will assist with survey types such as boundary, ALTA, topographic, existing conditions, right-of-way, transmission line, transportation, construction, and others. Your ability to represent Catapult in a safe and professional manner will be essential in this position.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Geomatics Field Supervisors with various types of surveys, ensuring accurate measurements and data collection.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality results in diverse project settings.
  • Represent Catapult in a safe and professional manner, adhering to traffic laws and practicing safe driving habits.
  • Maintain and operate land surveying equipment, including Trimble, Leica, and Carlson systems.
Requirements
  • High School Degree or equivalent required.
  • 0-2 Years of relevant experience in Land Surveying roles, such as Surveyor, Survey Rodman, Survey Technician, or Instrument Operator.
  • Experience with Trimble, Leica, and Carlson equipment and software preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Able to pass a drug test and driving record check.
  • Basic arithmetic and mathematical skills to perform calculations, as well as basic computer skills.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel overnight as required.

  • Ability to legally work in the United States without sponsorship for an employment-based visa.
Estimated Salary

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
