Mercy Fort Smith offers a comprehensive nurse residency program designed to support newly graduated nurses as they transition into professional nursing practice.
As a resident, you will participate in a year-long program that includes 12 classes, didactic lectures, online modules, simulated learning, presentations, and hands-on training with bedside caregivers and nursing leadership. This immersive experience is tailored to help you develop the skills and confidence needed to provide high-quality patient care.
**Salary and Benefits**
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to your base salary, you will also receive a range of benefits, including:
- $2,000 Tuition Reimbursement
- $10,000 Scholar Loan Assistance (for LPN to RN Education)
- $20,000 RN Loan Forgiveness
- Day-one comprehensive health, vision, and dental coverage
- PTO and employer-matched retirement funds
**Job Responsibilities**
As an RN Resident at Mercy Fort Smith, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of experienced nurses. Your primary duties will include:
- Assessing patients' physical and emotional needs
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans
- Administering medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
**Required Qualifications**
To be eligible for this role, you must have:
- A graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution
- A current RN license in the state of Arkansas or compact licensure
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
