Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Lancaster, PA. As a key member of our pain management team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical advice and guidance to patients and healthcare professionals through phone and electronic correspondence.
  • Develop and implement patient education programs to promote preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute diagnosis.
  • Administer injections and medications as prescribed by our healthcare providers and in accordance with department protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare patients for visits and procedures, using appropriate rooming standards tools.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for further testing.
  • Authorize prescription refills as instructed by our healthcare providers.
  • Assist with test tracking and monitoring overdue results.
  • Remove sutures and change dressings on wounds as necessary.
  • Ensure exam rooms are adequately supplied and cleaned after each patient visit.
  • Assist with proactive outreach for patients requiring preventive and chronic disease services.
  • Perform care coordination activities among specialists and transitions of care to obtain all necessary patient information.
  • Assist in coordination of referrals, education, and community resources.
  • Actively participate in performance improvement initiatives to improve overall patient experience and quality of care.
  • Participate in daily huddles with our healthcare providers.
  • Serve as a patient experience advocate by being a positive influence at all times when interacting with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
Requirements
  • Completion of a LPN or RN educational program.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), issued by the PA State Board of Nursing.
  • AHA CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Occasional regional travel required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One to two years of nursing experience in a primary or specialty care physician's office.
  • Prior triage, emergency room, cardiac care, intensive care, or other related specialty nursing experience.
Work Environment

This role requires occasional regional travel and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting and communicate clearly with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
