Job Summary

As a Radiology Technologist at Sentara, you will conduct general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within the scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician. Your responsibilities will include positioning patients for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operating radiation-producing equipment, and operating electronic Radiology systems. Additionally, you may be required to prepare patient rooms/equipment/medications and perform phlebotomy tasks for lab purposes, depending on the site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients
  • Position patients for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology
  • Operate radiation-producing equipment
  • Operate electronic Radiology systems
  • Prepare patient rooms/equipment/medications
  • Perform phlebotomy tasks for lab purposes (as required)

Requirements:
  • Trade School Graduate - RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY
  • Registry eligible graduate in lieu of ARRT, must obtain ARRT registry within 180 days of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
