Job Title: Assistant Manager, Trade Compliance

Brooks Brothers is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager, Trade Compliance to join our team. As a key member of our compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our import and export operations are in compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.

Responsibilities:
  • Assign US and Canadian HTS codes to all new SKUs and maintain HTS in our ERP system.
  • Support post-entry audits, develop SOPs, and audit duty payments.
  • Assist in setting up new and reactivated import vendors and factories.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for all import-related inquiries from internal and external customers.
  • Manage First Sale, FTZ, FTAs, and duty drawback programs.
  • Assist with export paperwork creation.
  • Audit broker and paperwork flow, communicate with USCBP, and maintain records in compliance with USCBP regulations.
  • Maintain vendor manuals in conjunction with business partners.
  • Communicate with vendors on requirements.
  • Understand duty deferral programs by origin and communicate changes and/or new opportunities to guide sourcing strategy.
  • Run ACE and other reports as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1-3 years of import/export customs brokerage experience.
  • Experience in applying regulatory requirements, forms, licenses, and certifications affecting imported and exported products.
  • Licensed Customs Broker preferred, not required.
  • Experience with ACE Portal system preferred.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and aptitude to learn technical applications quickly.
  • Analytic skills to think objectively and interpret meaningful themes from quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Collaboration skills to build constructive and effective relationships with diverse partners.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong listening, written, and oral communication skills.
