Speech Therapist

As a skilled Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role in establishing and implementing treatment plans for residents in a long-term care setting. Your expertise in symbolic language, dysphasia, aphasia, voice treatment, and communication devices will be essential in providing high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
Establish skilled speech treatment plans for residents
Conduct skilled speech services to residents, including symbolic language, dysphasia, aphasia, voice treatment, and communication devices
Work cooperatively with other IDT members to design integrated plans and provide supportive documentation
Ensure assessments are completed within established timeframes and cost information is forwarded to the appropriate sources in a timely manner
Requirements
Completion of a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited education program
Licensure or eligibility to practice in Virginia as a Speech Language Pathologist
Experience with neurologically involved, developmentally disabled patients is beneficial
