Overview:

CoolSys - Refrigeration and HVAC Systems is seeking a skilled HVAC Foreman to lead our team in delivering exceptional service to our clients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation and maintenance of refrigeration and HVAC systems in commercial buildings.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a technical resource on assigned projects, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Report on job status and performance, providing regular updates to management.
  • Control job costs, ensuring that all expenses are accurately tracked and reported.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with peers, customers, general contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe behavior by all employees, including vehicle safety.
  • Ensure compliance with installation policies and procedures, including project tracking, safety, time, and attendance.
  • May oversee third-party resources.

People Responsibilities:

Direct and oversee the work of other apprentices and journeymen assigned to specific projects.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or completion of a trade program or technical school.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial building construction or a related industry/trade.
  • Knowledge of construction principles and practices, including efficient use of labor hours.
  • Ability to organize tasks and use good judgment in making work assignments.
  • Ability to give clear instructions and guidance, as needed.
  • Ability to maintain project labor hours within acceptable limits and request change orders as needed.
  • Ability to ensure safe work practices and ensure compliance with safety policies.
  • Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable state and federal laws.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Track record of punctuality and dependability.
  • Ability to use computer tools, including email, word, and project planning software.
