Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, a national law firm, is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join its team.

We offer a competitive salary of $75,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a full benefits package and a 35-hour work week.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the Financial Reporting Department on day-to-day accounting activities, financial/cost analysis, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. They will also assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to Senior Management, analyzing general ledger accounts and producing supporting schedules as needed.

This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can interact effectively within the department and all levels of the Firm. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business.
  • 1+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a professional service firm.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A strong understanding of accounting concepts, financial reporting standards, and best practices.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.

The successful candidate will also have the ability to effectively communicate results verbally to all organizational levels, manage competing priorities, and work both independently and cross-functionally.
