Impactful Role

As a Senior GIS Analyst at HDR, you will play a critical role in making a difference in our ability to change the world for the better. You will lead GIS tasks for multidisciplinary projects, independently organize and conduct complex GIS analysis, and supervise and mentor GIS professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead GIS tasks for multidisciplinary projects, ensuring successful completion and high-quality results.
  • Independently organize and conduct complex GIS analysis as Project Manager or GIS team leader, utilizing advanced spatial analysis models and cartographic products.
  • Supervise and mentor GIS professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Work with non-GIS Project Managers and clients to design and effectively employ GIS on projects, leveraging your expertise to drive project success.
  • Design and produce cartographic products for various purposes, including reports and presentations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of practical GIS experience, with an advanced degree in a relevant field potentially offsetting up to 4 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in the use of ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS extensions such as 3D Analyst and Spatial Analyst.
  • Experience with ETL tools (FME) and other advanced analyst tools like Arcade and ArcGIS Notebooks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write reports that summarize spatial analyses and communicate findings with charts, tables, and narrative.

The estimated salary for this position in Seattle/Bellevue/Everett is $83,881 - $119,830, while in Olympia it is $72,940 - $104,200, and in Gig Harbor it is $80,234 - $114,620.
