Salary Range: $30-$33 per hour, depending on experience

Job Description: As a CNC Setup Machinist at Waiteco Machine, you will be responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) Vertical Mills to perform machine functions on very close tolerance machined parts. Your strong work ethic and passion for success will make you a great fit for our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare programs and pre-set all tools needed for matching operations.
  • Prep workpieces, position them in holding devices, machines tables, chucks, centers, or fixtures.
  • Set up fixtures, install tooling, install programs, enter offsets, and prove out machines.
  • Inspect first run pieces and make offsets as required; spot check succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications.
  • Recommend improvements to existing processes and help implement changes.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience with 3 and 4 axis machines.
  • 1+ year of CAM software (MasterCam) experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand G code programming.
