We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Respiratory Therapist to join our team at UCHealth. As a critical member of our respiratory care department, you will provide advanced patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. Our ideal candidate has experience managing complex ventilator integration and airway management, with excellent communication skills to collaborate with our multidisciplinary team.

Job Summary:

This is a full-time 0.9 FTE position working nights at the Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in respiratory therapy protocols and best practices, with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. You will work closely with our team to prioritize wellness, safety, and quality outcomes, while promoting optimized care through evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides top-of-scope practice in direct patient care environments, utilizing respiratory therapy protocols and best practices to promote optimized care.
  • Values and effectively partners with a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional care outcomes.
  • Prioritizes wellness, a patient perspective, and evidence-based practice.
  • Models proficiency through precepting those new to healthcare and/or UCHealth.
  • Welcomes new knowledge in a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
  • Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • State licensure.
  • NRP obtained within 1 year if assigned to NICU; tracked on unit.
  • PALS within 1 year if assigned to ED; tracked on unit.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
  • BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is between $31.61 and $47.41 per hour, based on relevant experience.
