Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Senior Field Technician to join our Implementation and Deployment Services Team. As a key member of this team, you'll be responsible for deploying, supporting, and maintaining our advanced technology systems. Your expertise will ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of our systems, empowering us to deliver exceptional service to our customers.

About the Role

This is a dynamic role that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and customer-centric approach. As a Senior Field Technician, you'll work closely with our project managers, customer site personnel, and internal teams to achieve project objectives. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Deploying and commissioning new automated systems, ensuring timely completion and quality assurance.
  • Managing field teams and activities, providing guidance and training to new team members.
  • Communicating complex technical issues to clients, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills.
  • Installing, supervising, and repairing conduit, control cabinets, control boxes, mounting brackets, cameras, gate arms, traffic lights, sensors, servers, and related equipment.
  • Diagnostics and resolving software, electrical, electronic, computer, and hardware problems efficiently.
  • Utilizing hand tools and power tools effectively, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Pulling, routing, or labeling CAT5, CAT6 cable, and other wiring, cabling.
  • Repairing poles and towers to resolve cable issues.
  • Conducting thorough inspections of cable lines to ensure system correctness.
  • Maintaining positive customer interactions at all times.
  • Submitting reports and expenses in a timely manner.
  • Seeking cost-effective solutions to optimize business operations and travel scheduling.
  • Implementing engineering changes as required.
  • Drafting and submitting internal-facing reports.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess:

  • A minimum of 10+ years of relevant field experience, with 5+ years of leadership experience.
  • Extensive knowledge and utilization of hand tools and power tools.
  • Expertise in pulling, routing, labeling, and terminating CAT5, CAT6 cables, COAX cable.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn various business computer systems.
  • An understanding and adherence to safety guidelines.
  • A willingness to learn and grow while paying attention to detail.
  • The ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • A valid US Driver's License.
  • Authorization to work in the USA without Visa sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications

  • A technical degree in a related field.
  • Previous experience in installing, deploying, and repairing equipment and systems.
  • Knowledge of fiber optic cabling.
  • A background in IT networking.
  • Experience with technology systems and componentry.
  • Basic mechanical and electrical system understanding.
  • A working knowledge of electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Knowledge of NEC guidelines.
  • Certification for operating equipment such as scissor lifts, forklifts, boom lifts.
Travel Requirements

This position requires frequent travel, with a minimum of 75% of time spent on the road. You must be willing and able to adapt to changing schedules and locations.
