Childcare Program Director

Job Summary:The Childcare Program Lead will be responsible for coordinating and implementing childcare programs that meet the needs of the community and align with the YMCA's mission and objectives. This includes developing and maintaining programs, recruiting and training staff, and ensuring the overall quality and safety of our childcare services.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement childcare programs that meet the needs of the community and align with the YMCA's mission and objectives.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff to ensure the highest quality of care and service.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children in our care, including maintaining accurate records and providing training as needed.
- Market and promote our childcare programs to the community, including developing and implementing outreach and recruitment strategies.
- Collaborate with other community organizations and stakeholders to ensure the success of our childcare programs.
- 21 years of age or older.
- Current state-approved first aid certification.
- Current CPR certification.
- Demonstrated ability to provide childcare and lead a team.
- Minimum 2 years' experience working with children.
- Knowledge and experience in child watch or babysitting, including demonstrated ability to provide age-appropriate activities to children, ages 5-11.
- Ability to communicate effectively with members, staff, peers, volunteers, and supervisor.
- Ability to effectively communicate information on YMCA programs.
