Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Restaurant Shift Leader to join our team at Zaxby's. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of quality and service, and providing excellent customer experiences.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete all training requirements, including the Zaxby's Shift Leader Development Plan, Food Safety Certification, and any additional training required by Zax LLC.
- Create a culture of high-performance and train and coach team members to meet all company standards.
- Mentor, coach, and develop team members, communicating performance concerns to your General Manager.
- Prioritize the guest and team member experience, resolving complaints and concerns in a friendly and respectful manner.
- Create and maintain a positive culture and healthy team morale through recognition and leading by example.
- Communicate shift goals and motivate team members to meet goals and perform to their highest ability level.
- Delegate tasks to team members and supervise performance during a shift.
- Maintain operational standards and ensure compliance with all Zaxby's Franchising LLC and Zax LLC guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure service, product quality, and cleanliness standards are consistently upheld.
- Enhance guest experiences by ensuring that team members satisfy and exceed guest expectations.
- Receive and reconcile truck deliveries, ensure product is properly stocked, and complete daily inventory counts.
- Manage food production and quality by monitoring prepping, cooking, and holding processes, taking corrective action when necessary.
- Track food safety and quality throughout the shift and ensure guests receive accurate orders that meet company standards and guests' satisfaction.
- Plan shift duties and ensure opening and closing duties are complete.
- Collaborate with management team to develop goals and report back to management on goal progress.
- Ensure processes, policies, and procedures are properly followed throughout daily operations.
- Follow company cash management policies.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws and guidelines.
- Utilize management tools and keep neat, accurate, and current records.
- Maintain an attitude of flexibility that allows performance above and beyond the parameters of this position description.
- Ensure the team works safely and follows all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Immediately report all human resources and risk management concerns to your General Manager and District Manager.
- Escalate other concerns to your supervisor when appropriate.
- All other duties necessary to ensure restaurant operations function properly.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Available to work a minimum of 5 days and 32 to 40 hours per week.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Successful completion of background check.
- Demonstrates leadership qualities, organizational skills, and ability to interact cooperatively with others.
- Leadership experience preferred.
