About the Role

At E-Talent Network, we're seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide exceptional patient care and support.

Responsibilities
  • Assist new residents in adjusting to our unit's philosophy and goals;
  • Report any accidents or changes in a resident's condition to the Charge Nurse and document progress notes in their chart;
  • Discuss clinical issues with the Charge Nurse to ensure effective resident care;
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to prepare, implement, and evaluate care plans;
  • Observe, record, and report any changes in a resident's condition;
  • Update care plans as needed;
  • Carry out therapeutic treatments;
  • Administer and dispense medications (except I.V.) to residents, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness;
  • Maintain nursing care and administrative records and reports;
  • Attend staff meetings and in-service programs.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of current nursing practice;
  • Skill in applying practical nursing procedures and techniques of resident care;
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written;
  • Able to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships;
  • Dependable, resourceful, with good observation skills and professionalism;
  • Able to operate medical equipment;
  • Maintain detailed records and prepare reports;
  • Meet physical demands of the position.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must:

  1. Have completed a course of study approved by the New York State Education Department as qualifying for Licensed Practical Nurse licensure;
  2. Hold licensure to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State, or possess a limited permit with license obtained within six months of appointment.
