Job Title: Assistant Preschool Teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our team at Imaginative Beginnings Early Learning Center. As an Assistant Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in the development, coordination, planning, administration, supervision, and delivery of all child care curriculums.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Lead Teacher in preparing, assessing, and facilitating all aspects of the daily routine and academics for the children we serve.
  • Plan, develop, supervise, and implement program activities that promote learning and development.
  • Aid in the creation and development of lesson plans that cater to the needs of our children.
  • Carry out lesson plans and ensure their effective implementation.
  • Develop and distribute parent communications to keep them informed about their child's progress.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with parents to ensure a collaborative approach to their child's education.
  • Make ongoing systematic observations and evaluations of children to identify areas of strength and weakness.
  • Execute sound administration and management of the school-age and preschool programs to increase program quality and sustainability.
  • Maintain required program records, including attendance, daily schedules, meal plans, lesson plans, and rosters.
  • Enhance our Early Literacy Program to ensure our children receive the best possible education.
  • Monitor and maintain the 'Step Up To Quality' requirements and ratings to ensure our program meets the highest standards.
  • Coordinate field trips and special events to provide our children with opportunities for growth and development.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • CPR, FIRST AID, AED certifications, and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date.
  • Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting.
  • Experience in the planning, organization, and implementation of age-appropriate and developmentally appropriate program activities.
  • Previous experience working with diverse populations and ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds.
  • Exceptional organizational and computer skills.

Physical Demands:

Sufficient strength, agility, and mobility to perform essential functions of the position and to safely supervise children's activities. Such activities could include sitting for extended periods of time, standing for extended periods of time, walking, bending, lifting up to 20#, stretching. Reasonable accommodations may be met.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an associate in E.C.E. and two years of classroom experience. We are looking for passionate, creative, and dependable team members who enjoy preparing children for the future. The candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
