Job Title: Travel Nurse for Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

Summit Medical Staffing Nursing is seeking a skilled travel nurse for a Labor and Delivery position. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic team and provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care in Labor and Delivery unit
  • Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
  • Maintain accurate patient records and reports
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives
  • Meet the needs of patients and families with compassion and empathy
  • Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team members
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Support the mission and values of Summit Medical Staffing Nursing
  • Adhere to hospital policies and procedures
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development
  • Meet performance expectations and maintain a positive work attitude
  • Comply with hospital rules and regulations
  • Ensure patient safety and well-being
  • Document all patient interactions and care provided
  • Participate in unit meetings and discussions
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to achieve unit goals
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families
  • Document patient progress and outcomes
  • Participate in patient education and discharge planning
  • Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure smooth patient transfers
  • Document all patient interactions and care provided

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
  • Current RN license
  • 2+ years of experience in Labor and Delivery
  • Certification in Labor and Delivery (CNL1 or CNL2)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules and overtime as needed
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing education and professional development
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
