Diagnostic Electronics Specialist

Job Summary:
Diagnostic Technicians at Jabil are responsible for verifying, testing, and repairing electronic circuit board assemblies. They troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace various computer hardware components in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed diagnostics and troubleshooting of server hardware components using Linux command-line tools.
- Diagnose and repair to basic powered functional test failures to a component level on electronic circuit board assemblies.
- Exhibit proficiency in the use of electronic test and measurement equipment.
- Understand and utilize assembly documentation such as schematics, BOMs, EC documents, visuals, debug, testing tools, and procedures.
- Assist the Test Engineering department in an ongoing data evaluation program for improving the efficiency of the diagnosis of assemblies.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of computer hardware components with the ability to diagnose and repair various issues within a server manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The individual's primary workstation is located on the manufacturing floor. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Diagnostic Technicians are required to wear appropriate PPE, including hearing protection, composite toe shoes, and protective eyewear. The manufacturing floor is well-lit and climate-controlled.
