Salary Information
The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. This amount includes four 10-hour shifts per week, providing exceptional compensation for your expertise.
Job Description
In this procedural-based position, you will work closely with our Interventional Radiology team, providing medical consultation, routine patient care, and follow-up as directed. You will assist physicians with procedures and serve as a liaison between the physician and the patient, adhering to National Patient Safety Goals. Your responsibilities will include:
- Initiating and completing detailed patient assessments.
- Diagnosing actual or potential health problems or needs based on analysis of collected data and planning therapeutic intervention.
- Ordering and initiating appropriate laboratory tests, medication, treatment, and consultation based on analysis of collected data.
- Performing routine procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care, venous and arterial blood draws, and managing simple conditions produced by infection, trauma, or other disease processes.
- Educating patients regarding prescribed treatment and medication(s).
- Maintaining timely documentation of patient medical records.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have a degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program, current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Oklahoma, and current BLS certification. You must also be able to communicate effectively in English.
