Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement database architectures that meet business needs
  • Develop and implement processes for data cleaning, organization, and transformation
  • Identify and rectify data quality issues, including duplicates, missing values, and inconsistencies
  • Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases
  • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and security of databases
  • Optimize database performance through regular monitoring, tuning, and maintenance activities
  • Manage database security, including user access and permissions
  • Develop and implement automated processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)
  • Create scripts and tools to automate routine database maintenance tasks
  • Continuously evaluate and improve database management processes to increase efficiency

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Mathematics
  • Master's degree in a related field a plus
  • Certifications in database management or related technologies a plus

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with major database systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Problem-solving and good analytical skills
  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator with a focus on data cleanup, transformation, architecture, and automation
  • Experience with ETL tools and processes
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and tools (e.g., Python, R, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and big data technologies
