Strategic Enrollment Systems Director

The Senior Director of Enrollment Systems plays a pivotal role in driving enrollment to St. Mary's University, overseeing the management and maximum utilization of our platform capabilities for various users and departments.
This position requires forward-thinking leadership, collaboration with campus partners, and expertise in streamlining processes for a superior student experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Optimization: Improve and streamline processes for enhanced student experience, utilizing expertise to suggest changes to software supporting enrollment goals.
- Data Visualization: Partner with other campus areas to identify data needs; oversee development of queries, reports, dashboards, and other data visualizations for planning and analysis.
- Technology Transition: Assist in transitioning from Slate Legacy tools to current best practices for Technolutions, Slate, and support stakeholders in adopting new tools.
- Data Collection: Manage creation/usage of data collection forms annually, ensuring consistent data collection and best practices in form logic and mapping.
- System Maintenance: Build, test, and maintain forms, event templates, portals, applications, workflows, essential data elements, and system/feature updates throughout the year.
- Training and Support: Develop and deliver training to ensure consistent data use practices and maximum use of Slate capabilities.
- Analytics and Reporting: Write, develop, refine, and produce data analytic reports of admission and financial aid data housed within the CRM.
- Best Practices Development: Develop campus-wide best practices, metrics, and reporting goals for recruitment and enrollment functions within Slate CRM.
- Solution Implementation: Identify, code, and recommend solutions to enhance engagement with target populations and segments.
- Data Integrity: Assist with business process analyses to identify and correct data vulnerabilities within the Slate CRM system.
- Technical Skills: Maintain knowledge of HTML, CSS, XML, Relational Databases, and common statistical reporting functions.
- Security and Compliance: Maintain security, educate staff on user permissions, and help with integrity of user privileges/permissions.
- Team Collaboration: Serve as a member of the enrollment leadership/management team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; Master's degree preferred.
- CRM Experience: 3 or more years of experience with a CRM or similar platform, preferably Technolutions Slate.
- Background Check: Must clear and maintain a favorable background investigation and clearance.
- Travel and Flexibility: Must be able to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license, motor vehicle liability insurance, and personal injury insurance.
- Software Skills: Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint) and experience with virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom.
- Advanced Skills: Advanced skills and experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, Technolutions, Slate, and Ellucian-Banner software or similar if preferable.
- Ethics and Confidentiality: A high ethical standard and a strong sense of confidentiality; ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to organize workflow, coordinate activities, balance simultaneous projects without loss of efficiency.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong public relations and customer service skills, with an ability to implement diplomacy and discretion at all times.
- Cultural Competence: Understanding academic advising, financial aid, and student development, and knowledge of the St. Mary's culture and ability to represent and communicate the university mission to prospective students and families is preferred.
