Job Description

SymplyFi is seeking a seasoned business operations project manager to oversee recurring business processes, client-facing technical projects, and internal stakeholder accountability.

The ideal candidate will possess strong project leadership experience and a comprehensive understanding of the project management discipline, including project documentation and reporting.

This is an individual contributor role reporting directly to the CEO.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of project or business operations management experience in a small to medium corporate environment.

Critical characteristics of a successful candidate include relationship-focused, process-driven, metrics-focused, results-oriented, organized, and self-directed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain organizational standards of consistency, quality, and performance.
  • Develop, implement, and manage business projects and recurring operational processes.
  • Ensure service delivery projects are delivered on time, reflect exceptional business standards, and exceed client expectations.
  • Provide effective project reporting that leverages KPIs to ensure stakeholder accountability and business success.
  • Provide project leadership, management, and accountability for business team leads.

  • A work style in-sync with that of our CEO: direct communication style, fast-paced, technically savvy.
  • Primary career experience in a small to medium corporate environment.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills: ability to drive, influence, and impact performance of project stakeholders.
  • A growth-oriented disposition: eager to build on the opportunity to help scale a company and grow in their role.

Requirements:

  • Work full-time in office – this is not a remote position.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or relevant professional project management certification.
  • Exceptional organization, time management, and leadership skills.
  • Experience leading projects, driving communication, and execution with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing service delivery projects with lifetimes less than 90 days.
  • 6 years of progressive, professional business work experience.
  • 5 years of professional business operations or project management experience.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Up to 20% travel may be required.
