Job Title: Surgical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Surgical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team at a hospital in Portland, Maine.

Job Summary:

This is a 13-week contract opportunity with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
  • Monitor and manage patient vital signs, medication, and treatment plans
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care transitions
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care
Requirements:
  • Current Maine Registered Nurse License
  • American Heart Association BLS certification
  • 1-2 years of recent experience in SICU or ICU
