Job Overview

Turf Distributors is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Professional to contribute to the company's sales objectives by increasing sales in the Business to Business and Retail channel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by acquiring new customers, expanding existing relationships, and identifying new business opportunities.

Compensation and Benefits

Our competitive compensation package includes a base salary of $65,000, plus a performance-based commission structure. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401K, and paid time off.

Job Description

The Business Development Professional will be responsible for:

  • Customer Engagement: Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, understanding their needs, and identifying opportunities to increase sales.
  • Prospecting: Researching and identifying new business opportunities, developing marketing strategies, and executing plans to acquire new customers.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintaining in-depth knowledge of our products and services, including features, benefits, and applications.
  • Sales Performance: Meeting or exceeding sales targets, tracking and analyzing sales activity, and providing regular updates to management.
  • Team Collaboration: Working closely with the sales, marketing, and logistics teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and customer satisfaction.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business principles, including sales, marketing, and customer service.
  • Sales and Customer Service Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, customer service, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM software.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in the artificial turf, landscape, or flooring sales industry is a plus. Additionally, fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements

This role requires prolonged periods of standing and walking, as well as the ability to lift up to 15 pounds. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are also required.
