Director of Sales and Marketing

Job Summary
The Director of Sales and Marketing is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to drive revenue growth and occupancy levels at Sonesta International Hotels. This role requires a strong understanding of the hospitality industry and the ability to work closely with the Executive Team to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue growth and occupancy targets
Collaborate with the Executive Team to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities
Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to leverage national brand strategies at the local level
Lead a team of Sales Professionals and be responsible for attracting, retaining, and developing talent consistent with Sonesta's values and culture
Balance the needs of guests, employees, and financial objectives
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Hotel Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Three years of previous hotel sales experience strongly preferred
Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances
Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments
Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational, and training abilities
