MUMPS Developer

GeekSI is seeking a highly skilled MUMPS developer to join our team. As a MUMPS developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software applications using the MUMPS programming language.
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in requirements analysis and collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture.
- Write clean, scalable code using MUMPS programming language and test and deploy applications and systems.
- Revise, update, refactor, and debug code to improve existing software.
- Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC) and serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support.
- Research and develop HL7 messages and manage approval process.
- Must currently reside in the US.
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
- Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other Information Technology major (Or equivalent work experience).
- Proven work experience as a Mumps developer.
- Experience with VA VistA, knowledge of software development and user interface web applications, familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing.
- Strong understanding of modern software design and development methodologies.
- Strong understanding of modern SCM (software configuration management).
- Basic understanding of testing tools and unit and integration test scripting and testing methodologies.
- Experience on one or more full release project life cycles.
- Able to apply consistently quality and security standards.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and with clients.
- Ability to work with Web-development tools for new applications.
- Experience writing code using languages such as (and not limited to) COBOL, PL/1, Java, C, C++, C#, VB.Net, Delphi.
- Experience using an Integrated Development Environment (e.g., Eclipse, Visual Studio).
