Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The Tobacco Clerk will operate a cash register, perform checkout procedures, and assist with stocking and cleaning duties.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a cash register efficiently and perform checkout procedures at or above expected performance standards.
  • Follow all check-out and cash handling procedures and policies.
  • Keep the tobacco department looking neat and presentable, including stocking snacks and drinks, sweeping, cleaning counters, and changing trash.
  • Provide excellent customer service and check the identification of all customers attempting to purchase tobacco products.
Qualifications
  • Customer service orientation and willingness to deal with people daily.
  • Ability to count money and make accurate change.
  • Ability to work assigned shifts and arrive to work on time.
  • Ability to clean and straighten product when no customers need assisting.
  • Flexibility in schedules and ability to stand for long periods of time.
