About the Role

At UofL Health, we are seeking an experienced AR Customer Service and Correspondence Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, insurance companies, and physician offices regarding hospital accounts.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of customer service experience, and working knowledge of medical and insurance terms. They should also possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming calls promptly and handle inquiries related to patient accounts.
  • Process credit card payments, scan payment receipts, and complete cash reconciliation sheets.
  • Document notes regarding all telephone calls/correspondence in the AR system daily.
  • Send patient or insurance summaries or itemized statements of charges as requested.
  • Work assigned accounts as directed while meeting daily productivity goals.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1 Year of Customer Service Experience
  • Working Knowledge of Medical and Insurance Terms
  • Strong Communication Skills
Salary

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
