About the Position
We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Travel Nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit specialist in Saint Louis, Missouri. This 20-week assignment offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, gain valuable experience, and develop new skills while enjoying competitive pay and benefits.
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will possess one to three years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a progressive care unit setting. Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills are essential for success in this role. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, communicating effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and maintaining accurate records and reports.
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate patient care with other healthcare team members.
- Monitor patients' responses to interventions and report outcomes.
- Administer medications as ordered with appropriate documentation.
- Share on-call responsibilities with a 30-minute response time if required.
- Maintain cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies.
- Transport patients as needed.
Requirements
- One to three years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling, and able to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public, customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure.

Salary Estimate
The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 to $180,000 per year, depending on experience and location. This figure includes tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
