Cardiac Stress Technician

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Stress Technician to join our team at South Shore Health. As a Cardiac Stress Technician, you will be responsible for performing electrocardiograms in various settings, placing Holter monitors, and assisting physicians with exercise tolerance stress testing and drug study stress testing.
Key Responsibilities- Perform EKG services according to established procedures of South Shore Health & Educational Corporation.
- Assist physicians with Cardiac Stress Testing, including instructing patients, obtaining informed consent, and operating Pyxis to obtain medications.
- Perform Holter monitor placements, ensure good quality tracings, and transmit EKGs wirelessly or manually.
- Respond to in-house codes and RRTs as needed.
- High school education preferred.
- Minimum two years of experience in cardiology, medical assisting, or EMT services, or degree in Exercise Physiology.
- Basic EKG interpretation skills and medical assistant, nursing assistant, EMT, or equivalent work experience with vital signs preferred.
Day shifts within the range of lab operating hours Sun-Sat 6am-7pm. You would work with your supervisor to plan the specifics of your shifts.
