Job Summary

This position plays a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents at The Manor at Seneca Hill. As a Certified Nurse Aide, you will assist and encourage residents in their daily activities, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. You will work under the supervision of licensed personnel to provide comprehensive resident care, reporting any deviations in resident status to the appropriate team members.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal resident care and treatment according to the comprehensive care profile, updating files as needed.
  • Assist residents with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Support residents with preventative skin care, wound care, and other specified treatments.
  • Ensure residents are properly clothed and comfortable at all times.
  • Assist residents with meals and meal care, monitoring and recording resident intake.
  • Provide mobility assistance, including transporting, positioning, and lifting residents.
  • Perform intake/outtake care, catheter care, vital signs, ROM, and post-mortem care.
  • Clean and maintain safe and orderly resident rooms, nursing equipment, and nursing units.
  • Observe residents' physical condition, attitude, reaction, appetite, and behaviors, reporting changes or unusual findings to supervisors.
Requirements
  • Must be currently registered in New York State as a Certified Nurses Aide.
  • High school graduate preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide physical and emotional care to elderly and/or disabled individuals.
  • Knowledge of basic safety techniques and resident rights.
Working Conditions

This role requires frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling during the workday. You will be exposed to infections, odors, and peculiarities in the behavior of aged residents. You must be able to lift, carry, reposition, and transfer residents who may weigh in excess of 200 pounds.
