Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Machine Tool Specialist to join our team in Columbia, MO. As a key member of our production team, you will play a crucial role in operating CNC machines and other common machine tools & equipment, including lathes, mills, surface grinders, and basic RAM and wire EDM operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate CNC machines and other common machine tools & equipment
  • Assist in designing, constructing, machining, assembling, modifying, adjusting, and troubleshooting dies, fixtures, mechanical equipment, and developmental devices to specific tolerances and specifications
  • Know, apply, and evaluate operating principles and mechanical functions used in precision fabrication and building of tools such as punches, dies, jigs, and fixtures
  • Interpret tooling/mechanical related prints and mechanical drawings, with GD&T understanding
  • Work closely with peers and other coworkers to maximize productivity of production equipment and develop and improve tooling and processes to reduce costs and increase efficiencies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess a technical degree or higher in Tool & Die Technology, OR have a high school diploma/GED AND a minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a Tool and Die or Machinist field. Additionally, you must have experience operating CNC machines, interpreting tooling/mechanical related prints and mechanical drawings, and be able to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Benefits

Solventum offers a competitive salary range of $30.22-$30.33, depending on experience. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, health savings accounts, disability benefits, life insurance, voluntary benefits, paid absences, and retirement benefits.

The estimated salary for this position is $30.27 per hour, based on industry standards and location.
