Clinical Registered Nurse - Cardiothoracic Surgery PCU

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Registered Nurse to join our Cardiothoracic Surgery PCU team at The University of Kansas Health System. This is a part-time PRN position, and the ideal candidate will have experience in cardiothoracic surgery and possess excellent communication skills.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide professional nursing care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for the comfort and well-being of patients. They will carry out a plan of care specific to unit competencies for the target patient population, coordinate care delivery and education through collaboration with patients, families, and all healthcare team providers to ensure safe, effective, and quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional nursing care through assessment, accurate documentation, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for the comfort and well-being of patients.
  • Carry out a plan of care specific to unit competencies for the target patient population.
  • Coordinate care delivery and education through collaboration with patients, families, and all healthcare team providers to ensure safe, effective, and quality patient care.
  • Fulfill organizational policies in providing safe patient care.
  • Must be able to perform the professional, clinical, and/or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate
  • Associate Degree Nursing Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years
  • 1 or more years as a Registered Nurse

Compensation and Benefits:

This part-time PRN position offers a competitive estimated salary range of $85,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on experience.
